Bhatti visits flood-hit areas, assures people of all help

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday visited the flood-hit villages under Madhira constituency and assured the people of all help. He asked them not to be disheartened. The Indiramma people’s government would come to their rescue at this hour of crisis.
He visited the New Lakshmipuram and Pandregulapalli villages of Mudigondamandal, inunduated by the flood waters of Munneru stream.
He visited the house of Veerababu and Kalavati in New Lakshmipuram and inspected the goods damaged in flood waters. He assured them that the government would provide essential commodities.  The residents of the colony urged him for permanent measures to avert the flood threat to the Scheduled Castes colony.
In Pandregupalli, he inspected the 2 BHK colony. He assured the farmers whose fields have been inundated by flood waters of his help.
The Agricultural officers would be sent to assess the preliminary damage caused to the crops due to the floods and later the compensation would be paid to the farmers. He also inspected the Khammam-Kusumanchi 132 KV high-tension tower which collapsed and directed the Assistant Director of the Electricity Department to undertake repair works on a war-footing. He also enquired about the status of other such towers in the district.
He directed Tahsildar Karunakar Reddy to provide essential commodities to people in the flood-hit areas immediately. Mandal Agriculture officer has been asked to assess loss to crops.
Telangana State Warehousing Corporation chairman Rayala Nageswara Rao, former MLC Potla Nageswara Rao, DCC president Puvvalla Durga Prasad, Mudigonda Congress mandal president and constituency leaders and others were present.
