The BJP has appointed former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar as the party’s election in-charge and General Secretary Sunil Bansal as the assistant election in-charge in Telangana.
The BJP appointed election in-charges in the four states of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana on Friday.
It may be recalled that Prakash Javadekar was working as the Telangana BJP in-charge earlier. The party which appointed Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy as its new president in Telangana in place of Sanjay has now appointed Prakash Javadekar as the election in-charge.
Prakash Javadekar was a Rajya Sabha Member from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh from 2008. He has functioned as the chairman of many committees in Parliament.
He has also been functioning as the BJP’s official spokesperson since 2021 after losing his Union Minister post. Prakash Javadekar was born in Maharashtra and has been active in politics since his student days. He was associated with the ABVP and the BJP Yuva Morcha before becoming active in the BJP.
