BJP cadres and leaders are facing a strange but similar situation in both Telugu states. They are unable to read the mind of their high command about its political strategy in both the Telugu states.
In Andhra Pradesh, the BJP has no hope of winning a good number of seats in the Assembly elections. But in Telangana, the Central leadership has a lot of hope of coming to power.
But suddenly the political situation in Telangana changed. The BJP’s position in Telangana has become like ‘after Sanjay and before Sanjay.’
When Bandi Sanjay Kumar was the state BJP President party cadres and leaders were very aggressive against the BRS. But suddenly both the BJP and the BRS toned down criticism of each other.
Now the BJP cadres in both the Telugu states are confused regarding whether they should move aggressively against the ruling parties or not.In Andhra Pradesh, it is an open secret that the ruling YSR Congress has close relations with the BJP leadership. Now in Telangana also BJP cadres have that feeling after the BJP brass removed Sanjay from the post of state President.
The BJP high command has not revealed its stand regarding the ruling parties in both the Telugu states to its cadres. In both Telugu states BJP cadres feel that the statements of the high command about ruling parties are different from its attitude.
When the BJP’s top national leaders visit Telugu states they make wild allegations against ruling parties. But as the ruling party at the Centre, the BJP’s attitude is different.
For example, BJP President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently made serious allegations against the YSR government headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy when they visited AP.
But after a few days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave appointments to Jagan and as per his request, the Centre released huge funds to the state.
Political circles feel that when even BJP Chief Ministers are finding it difficult to get the appointments of Modi and Amit Shah, AP CM YS Jagan is getting appointments whenever he wants from them without any difficulty.
Regarding Telangana, the BJP cadres in the state are also feeling the same. Till a few days ago the BJP leadership was very aggressive and with its statements and action, it created a suffocating situation for the BRS. The state BJP now feels that there is no such situation.
Central investigation agencies have become silent and no follow-up action is being taken against BRS leaders.
Given this situation, the BJP cadres in both the Telugu states are asking their central leadership whether they have to move aggressively against the ruling parties or not. But state BJP leaders never get an answer to this openly from their leadership.
