The BJP is demanding a CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project scam only to make former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao surrender before the BJP in the same way BRS MLC Kavitha surrendered in the Delhi liquor scam, Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy said.
He pointed out that the CBI arrested former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia in connection with the Delhi liquor scam but it is not arresting Kavitha.
Making it clear that the Congress government is ordering a judicial inquiry into the Kaleshwaram scam to bring out facts, Jeevan said that the judicial inquiry will be transparent. He said that there is a chance that the judicial inquiry may use the services of other agencies to get technical advice. Jeevan said that the Congress government started implementing welfare schemes in just three weeks after taking over.
He recalled that the BRS government did not hike pensions till four months had passed after coming to power the first time and eight months after taking charge the second time.
