BJP MP D Purandeswari has asserted that her party has become a formidable force in the country, boasting a membership of over 18 crore.
Speaking at the Kisan Morcha State executive meeting here on Thursday, she noted that despite the opposition parties’ misleading campaign suggesting that the BJP would amend the Constitution if elected, the BJP managed to secure power, even though it lost 60 seats.
“The BJP has emerged as the largest political party in the world, with over 18 crore members. In Andhra Pradesh alone, the party has over 35.36 lakh members. BJP leaders have remained accessible to the public for the past decade, consistently addressing their concerns,” she remarked. She also recalled that in 2012, the BJP had just 25 lakh members nationwide.
Highlighting the party’s continuous growth, she stated that the BJP gains strength after every election, attributing its electoral successes in various states to the grassroots efforts of dedicated party workers.
Purandeswari clarified that the BJP only admits those who adhere to the party’s ideology and guidelines. On the topic of sharing nomination posts, she mentioned that the three parties involved resolved the matter through negotiations.
