BJP Khammam Urban Town Vice-President Gajjela Srinivas attempted suicide on Tuesday by trying to hang himself on a fan. However, his family saved him by responding in time. Srinivas is now being treated at a hospital in Khammam.
In his suicide note, Srinivas said that he could not accept the removal of Bandi Sanjay Kumar from the post of president of the Telangana BJP unit and hence had attempted suicide. “I did this not due to anger at anyone but because of the love that I developed for Bandi Sanjay Anna. So I am committing suicide. Jai BJP…Jai Bandi Sanjay Anna. Bye,” the suicide note said.
Meanwhile, Sanjay sent the bulletproof Fortuner Car that was given to him by the party in 2022, as his tenure as the TS BJP’s president was over.
The party had allocated Rs 2 crore for the vehicle allotted by the Centre. Sanjay also handed over his chamber in the party office by removing his belongings.
