To come to power in Telangana, the BJP is treading carefully acting as per a plan to win BCs’ support. The BJP election management committee in-charge Eatala Rajender is understood to be sharpening the election strategies.

He is apparently giving the finishing touches to the plan and holding parleys with Mudiraj, Yadav, Munnuru Kaapu, Padmashali and Gangaputra community leaders.

According to party seniors, the BJPs progress is directly linked to Kavita’s arrest. Unless Kavita is arrested, people think that the BJP and BRS are the same.

The BJP finds panacea to the problem in playing the BC card. As the Centre dithered on the arrest, many quit the BJP to join the Congress, affecting the morale of the BJP cadres.

In such a scenario, only the BRS and Congress would lock horns in the polls. The BJP leadership, coming to grips with reality, started chanting the BC mantra.
The real strategy would be to get closer to the BCs to make people relegate Kavita’s arrest to the background.

The Yadavas and Mudiraj communities are a deciding factor in at least 60 seats. In dozens of constituencies, the two communities hold the sway, according to the sources.

Eatala who enjoyed clout with Mudiraj community is out to achieve coordination
between the two communities. The BJP has plans to give tickets to the two communities as per their ratio to population after holding parleys with the caste leaders. Eatala already took Padmashali leaders into confidence.

According to the BJP leaders, a plan has been readied to hold public meetings (Garjana) caste-wise and invite Narendra Modi as the Chief Guest for the proposed BC Garjana when the BJP would announce its BC Declaration and announce a BC as the BJP’s CM candidate.

The BJP is treading carefully to implement the strategy. That party has no policy to announce CM candidate in advance.

Therefore, it is likely to announce generally that a BC candidate would be its choice for the CM post.

The BRS and Congress are not prepared to announce a BC as their CM candidate.

However, there is a remote chance for Congress to announce, but it is unlikely for the BRS, a family party, to announce a BC as CM.

Meanwhile, former minister C Krishna Yadav is preparing to quit the TRS to join the BJP. He will conduct a Yadava Garjana on Sep 10 and later join the BJP, it is understood.

He seeks to contest from Amberpet again or to contest from Musheerabad or Malakpet. If Kishan Reddy insists on Amberpet seat, Krishna Yadav will run for the polls from other seats.

It may be recalled that Krishna Yadav was elected MLA last time from Amberpet.
