Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy said that they will announce the BJP’s policy regarding farmers through the ‘Rythu Gosa-BJP Barosa’ Vedika at the Khammam public meeting being held on August 27.
He said that the BJP will continue its fight till it defeats the BRS, which is deceiving farmers in all aspects.
Speaking to the media at the state BJP office here on Thursday, Kishan said that KCR’s Rythu Bandhu is not the solution to the problems of farmers. He said that BRS is the party responsible for the problems of farmers in Telangana.
He said that the Khammam meeting will give details of the BJP’s vision about farmers.
He said that farmers were facing trouble due to inefficient policies. The problems of farmers doubled due to the non-implementation of the Comprehensive Crop Insurance Scheme. KCR started implementing the loan waiver scheme just before the elections and is trying to trouble farmers again. The interest payable by farmers increased in the last four and half years and loans doubled, he said.
Kishan said that the Centre has been trying to help Telangana’s farmers by procuring paddy, giving subsidies for urea and helping financially through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Kishan said that the BRS has no moral right to speak on the Women’s Reservations Bill. He said that the Kalvakuntla family was speaking something in New Delhi and doing something else in the State.
He said that the Kalvakuntla family misled people regarding facts and added that KCR had invited a leader who tore the Women’s Bill in Parliament, offered him lunch and held discussions with him.
