BJP to hold state-wide protest against bogus votes on Aug 10: Purandeswari

BJP State president has expressed anger over the irregularities taking place in voters’ list preparation and announced that the party would organise a state-wide protest.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, she said that the BJP had complained to the Election Commission on the alleged enrolment of bogus votes in the voters list. The BJP would organize a state-wide protest on August 10 protesting against the large scale irregularities in preparing voters list in AP.

Purandeswari reiterated that the BJP has abided by Amaravati being the capital city of AP. Expressing resentment over taking the funds of village panchayats by the state government, Purandeswari said that the BJP would carry out agitation in protest against the taking the funds gram panchayats.

She regretted that violence incidents were taking place in the state. The attacks on the SCs and BCs are rampant in the state. The ruling party leaders are indulging in illegal sand mining. The crest gate of Gundlakamma river washed away last year but the government has not repaired it so far, she lashed out.

‘What the government achieved by changing the name of Health University, she questioned the government. She alleged that the state government is trying to sell the medical seats, adding that the Centre is providing half of the funds to the new medical colleges which are coming up in the state.

She demanded the state government to release a White paper on the construction of houses.

She made it clear that the BJP high command would take a decision on aligning with other parties.
