Will the BJP’s ‘Taraka Mantra’ fetch it dividends in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections?
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP is using its Taraka Mantra across the country. It appears that the BJP is utilising the inauguration of the famous Ram Temple in Ayodhya to strengthen the roots of the Hindu philosophy among people.
The people of the country are already overwhelmed by Rama Nama Smarana. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Theertha Kshetra Trust of Ayodhya has started distributing pamphlets and ‘Akshintalu’ in connection with the upcoming consecration of the Ram Temple slated for January 22 in Ayodhya.
The distribution of Akshintalu and pamphlets has begun across Telangana and in Hyderabad. The programme is planned in such a way so that the Akshintalu and pamphlets reaches every house in the country. The programme will continue till January 15.
The karyakartas of the trust are distributing Akshintalu and pamphlets at the doorsteps of all houses. BJP workers are participating in this programme across the country. It is clear that using the Ayodhya Ram Temple inauguration the BJP is trying to ignite the Hindutva sentiment among people.
The BJP plays the Hindutva card in all elections. With Lok Sabha elections around the corner, the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple has enabled the BJP to play the Hindutva card again.
The Centre and the Uttar Pradesh Government are making the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple a big event. With Lok Sabha elections likely to be held in a few months the BJP thinks that the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple will help it to win most of the LS seats in north India and score a hat-trick.
However, in South India, the BJP has no chance of winning a majority. The inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple may have some effect in the south and can help the BJP win some seats. Now the BJP is depending more on Taraka Mantra.
