The BJP high command will appoint a new president for the Telangana unit of the BJP, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said.
He said that the Telangana BJP president would decide on alliances with other political parties.
Addressing the media on Saturday, Sanjay said the appointment of the new Telangana BJP president is in the hands of the high command.
“A huge campaign is going on about the selection of the Telangana BJP president. However, there is no truth in that campaign. Every leader in the party is eligible to become the president of the Telangana BJP. Whoever is appointed as the party’s TG president will be the one who will benefit the party the most,” Sanjay said.
Reacting to a question, he quoted the comment of Tamil Nadu state BJP president Annamalai that his term is over and that a new president will take over. Sanjay said that the BJP will come to power in Telangana and that everyone should work for the party.
On a question about the BJP’s Goshamahal MLA, T. Raja Singh, he said that no one could match Raja Singh and that he is an ideal figure of Hinduism.
