Cricketer, Celebrity, Bollywood actor, Zee tv Ramayan Rama fame Mr. Gagan Malik called on Mrs. Sailaja Ramaiyer, IAS, Principal Secretary in her chambers on Friday. He briefed her on his visit to Buddhavanam yesterday, and shared his views on promoting Buddhavanam on International tourism platform.
Mr Malik proposed to organise:
1. Magha Purnima day on a grand scale by inviting high level national and international Buddhist Organisations and Government Officials from various countries and A Dhamma Yatra (going by foot) led by VIP Buddhist Monks from India and South East Asian countries including participation of local Buddhists from Hussain sagar Buddha Statue to Buddhavanam, Nagarjunasagar which starts on 9th February and reaches Buddhavanam on 24th February.
2.Invitating Indonesian Buddhist delegation coming along with Holy Relic of Lord Buddha to Buddhavanam for holy relic worship on 29 th October.
3. Shooting the 2nd part of Siddhartha Gautama, movie at Buddhavanam and to screen it internationally to promote Buddhavanam that costs Rs.6.00 crores.
4.An international conference on Buddhism with participation of 50 to 60 countries at Buddhavanam to familiarise Buddhavanam among international Buddhist communities.
