Minister for Education, Botsa Satyanarayana, on Sunday presented seven ‘important’ lessons to Jana Sena founder K Pawan Kalyan, urging him to study and understand the truth about the welfare and development initiatives of the YSR Congress government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Botsa said, “I am willing to offer you guidance, but on the condition that you promise to do your homework! Today’s assignment is to thoroughly go through these 7 lessons!”

Lesson 1: The Andhra Pradesh Government is the only government in the country to give up its authority to determine the eligibility or scope of public procurement tenders.
Lesson 2: Finalisation of the scope and eligibility of any government tender above Rs 100 crores is carried out by a special judge, Justice Shivshankar Rao, who is appointed with the concurrence of the High Court.
Lesson 3: Tender specifications (specs) are made publicly available, allowing companies 21 days to comment/react. Subsequently, the judge makes an informed decision, and the tender specifications are locked.
Lesson 4: Our government takes pride in being the first to introduce Judicial Preview, ensuring a level playing field for all companies.”
Lesson 5: Detailed information on all companies involved in government tenders has been accessible to the public since August 2022. Minister Satyanarayana provided the link for easy reference: https:// judicialpreview.ap.gov.in/findings-recommendations/.
Lesson 6: Our department is proud to be ‘the most transparent,’ with results openly available for everyone to see.”
Lesson 7: It is disheartening to witness your attempts to mislead the public. I hope your teachers are not ashamed, and I remain open to providing you with guidance, as long as you promise to be attentive and apply your critical thinking!”

In response to Minister Satyanarayana’s post, Pawan Kalyan countered with a story from an online web portal, wherein AP teachers criticised Jagan for incorporating Byju’s content into State government schools.

Pawan posed four questions and three points, questioning whether the Jagan government intends to spend Rs 580 crore next year to purchase five lakh tablets for students.
