Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has announced that the Brahmanavellam project will soon be provided with irrigation facilities. Nearly 40,000 acres would get water for irrigation in the next week to 10 days. He further stated that by May, the irrigation coverage would be extended to one lakh acres, significantly benefiting the farming community in the region.
On Wednesday, the Minister participated in a programme at Sri Vaarijala Vengopala Swamy and addressed the media afterwards, expressing his hopes for the blessings of Vengopala Swamy for the prosperity of Telangana.
The Minister who attended the Brahmotsav celebrations at Gopalayipalli in Nalgonda district, highlighted the state’s focus on ensuring abundant water supply for agriculture. “We are committed to improving irrigation facilities for farmers in the region,” he said.
“Development work is underway near the temple, and we are calling tenders for improvements,” he added. With the Brahmanavellam project under construction, the Minister is confident it will bring significant relief to the region’s agricultural sector.
The Minister also mentioned the SLBC tunnel project, which will be completed soon and help supply water to Nalgonda. The Minister expressed his commitment to transforming Nalgonda into a prosperous region, with irrigation for every acre and drinking water for every household.
He concluded by expressing confidence in the Congress government’s ability to fulfil the aspirations of the people through welfare-focused governance.
