VIJAYAWADA: Minister Nara Lokesh credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership for attracting major investments to Andhra Pradesh, describing him as the state’s strongest brand. “We don’t have cities like Bengaluru, Chennai or Hyderabad. Some people asked me, ‘Then how can Andhra Pradesh progress?’ That day, I told them, we have one powerful brand. That brand is our Chief Minister Chandrababu,” Minister Lokesh said at the inauguration of the ReNew Renewable Energy Complex. He further stated that the presence of industry leaders such as ReNew’s Sumant Sinha in Andhra Pradesh was a result of “Brand Babu.” “Even in Uttarandhra, if TCS is investing today, the credit goes to that one brand — Babu,” he remarked. Minister Lokesh also referred to the Telugu Desam Party’s ‘Super Six’ election promises, emphasising the commitment to generate 2 million jobs. “As Minister Gottipati Ravikumar said, we are attracting large-scale investments.

The first of Babu’s ‘Super Six’ promises was to create 2 million jobs. As part of that promise, we have brought this project to our region,” he said.

He extended his gratitude to the local farmers who had given their land for the project. “Today, we have brought a project to the backward district of Rayalaseema. I wholeheartedly congratulate all the farmers here. This plant is being established because you came forward and offered your land,” he added.

The TDP General Secretary assured the gathering that the Telugu Desam Party would ensure local employment. “The TDP takes full responsibility for providing employment and livelihood opportunities to at least 10,000 local youth, both men and women,” he said.
