The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said that all surveys conducted for MLC elections predict a clear victory for BJP-supported candidates. He called on BJP workers to demonstrate their strength in these elections.
He also declared that if the BJP’s MLC candidates are elected in this election, the party will take responsibility for ensuring their victory as public representatives in the local body elections.
In the context of MLC elections, a BJP ‘Pachhis Prabhari’ (one in-charge for every 25 voters) meeting was held on Friday at the Nandan Gardens in Peddapalli district headquarters. The meeting, presided over by District President Sanjeev Reddy, was attended by Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, BJP MLA Venkata Ramana Reddy, former MLAs Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, Kashipet Lingayya, Gujjula Ramakrishna Reddy, BJP teacher and graduate candidates Malka Komrayya, Chinnamail Anjireddy and local leaders.
During the meeting, Sanjay said, “Millions of our party workers are dreaming of bringing the BJP to power in Telangana at least once. Many people passed away without seeing this dream come true. This time, my goal is to bring the BJP to power in Telangana. Only BJP leaders have a history of fighting against Naxalites facing their bullets.”
“In Peddapalli district Naxalites put up big posters threatening to kill leaders like Gujjula Ramakrishna Reddy, Dugyala Pradeep Rao, Kashipet Lingayya and Komala Anjaneyulu. Yet, they fearlessly confronted the Naxalites and continued to wave the saffron flag,” he added.
