BRS demands immediate debate

Hyderabad: BRS Lok Sabha Party leader Nama Nageswara Rao moved an adjournment motion in the LS demanding an immediate discussion on the Manipur issue in the Lok Sabha. BRS Rajya Sabha Members moved an adjournment resolution to discuss the Manipur issue in the Rajya Sabha. The BRS MPs demanded that all programmes of the Rajya Sabha should be postponed and a discussion must be held on the Manipur issue under Article 267.

BRS MPs KK, Santhosh Kumar, KR Suresh Reddy, Vaddiraju Ravichandra and Damodar Rao demanded steps to restore normalcy in Manipur. In the Lok Sabha, Nama said, “Postpone other issues and include the Manipur violence. Discuss the Manipur issue and take steps to restore peace there.”

A whip was also issued on the Ordinance on Delhi services. “All Members of Parliament of the BRS (Rajya Sabha) are requested to vote against the Bill to replace the Ordinance on Delhi Services when it is brought before the House. All BRS MPs (Rajya Sabha) must be present in the House from July 31 to August 4, 2023, and remain in the House till voting on the Bill is over,” the order said.
