PNS|Hyderabad

The BRS government has become a land broker, Telangana BJP Election Management Committee Chairman Eatala Rajender said.

He said that the BRS government sold land at Rs 100 crore per acre to make people believe that Hyderabad is great and that the real estate business in Telangana is booming.

Addressing the media at the BJP state office here on Tuesday, Eatala asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to explain why the state government is giving a mere Rs 20 lakh per acre when it is acquiring land from the poor if the price of land has increased to Rs 100 crore per acre.

He said that the BRS government is selling land seized from the poor to big pharma companies for crores per acre. He asked whether there were no brokers in Telangana for the BRS government to become a broker.

Eatala said that the Andhra Pradesh Government is giving a chance to assigned land owners to sell land allocated to them after 20 years and the Tamil Nadu government after 15 years. But the Telangana government is not allowing that, instead it is seizing assigned lands from the poor forcibly.

He said that the BRS government introduced the Dharani Portal not for the poor but for the sake of big guns and that the Dharani Portal cannot be considered a reform. He said that thousands of acres have gone into the hands of BRS leaders. He said that BRS leaders were taking over lands after labelling them disputed after discussions with brokers. This is a shameless, heinous government, he said.

He said that people said goodbye to the KCR government on August 6, the final day of the current Assembly’s last session.
