Ponguleti terms Kaleshwaram, Dharani & Mission Bhagiratha

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the Kaleshwaram Project, the Dharani Portal and Mission Bhagiratha were the three big scams of the BRS government. BRS leaders looted as they liked using these schemes, he said.
Ponguleti, who had a chit-chat with journalists during his Mulugu district tour on Wednesday, said BRS leaders are now using violence to strengthen their party.
He ridiculed former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who claims to be the Telangana Jathi Pitha. “Why is KCR facing such a situation if he has not committed any offence? The Congress government will not let anyone go free if they have committed an offence, whoever it may be,” he said.
He also said that action would be taken as per law after the Central Commission’s report on the Kaleshwaram Project comes out. There would not be any political harassment in connection with the probe into the Kaleshwaram scam, he added.
Ponguleti said the Kaleshwaram Project, which was described as the eighth wonder, collapsed during the BRS rule itself. The CM and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy tried to save the Kaleshwaram Project and tried to find out the reason for the project’s collapse, he said.
He said the government had ordered a probe by Central agencies, as a campaign of lies would be launched by the BRS if the probe had been conducted by state agencies. The state government appointed a commission to track the BRS’s conspiracies in the name of the Kaleshwaram Project, the Minister said. However, BRS leaders are now trying to criticise the commission, which is headed by a judge appointed on the basis of the report given by a Central agency, he said.
Ponguleti said that BRS leaders looted in the name of Mission Bhagiratha and sold lands across the state. There will be investigations one after the other, he said.
