Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy on Monday came down heavily on Minister for Information Technology KT Rama Rao for the latter’s “unsavoury remarks” against All India Congress Committee (AICC) former president Rahul Gandhi.
Jeevan Reddy, who was also the former minister, speaking to the media here, reacted to KTR’s remarks that “Rahul Gandhi knows about clubs and pubs only.” Rahul Gandhi came from a family which sacrificed for the unity and integrity of the country. The Congress leader cannot distort facts like KTR, he pointed out.
He asserted that the BRS and TDP were cut from the same cloth. The BRS was following in the footsteps of TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu. Most of the Ministers in the BRS Cabinet were followers of Naidu. Even Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao too came from the TDP. “If Naidu took KCR into his cabinet, there would be no separate Telangana agitation,” he felt.
Jeevan Reddy demanded that the government release a white paper on power supply to the farm sector for the last six months. The Congress introduced free power to the farm sector. He took the government to task for failing to fulfil its promise of waiving farm loans.
