BRS leader Venkatesh Neta joins Congress

The BRS suffered a big blow on Tuesday with its MP representing the SC reserved Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency, Dr Borlakunta Venkatesh Neta, joining the Congress.
Unhappy with the non-cooperative attitude of BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his son KT Rama Rao, Venkatesh resigned from the party and joined the Congress.
Venkatesh joined the Congress in the presence of AICC General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in New Delhi.
Venugopal formally welcomed Venkatesh to the Congress by offering him a scarf.
Former TTD Member from old Mahbubnagar district, M. Jeevan Reddy, also joined the Congress in the presence of KC Venugopal and Revanth Reddy. Along with Jeevan Reddy, BRS leader Rahman and many others too joined the Congress.

After joining the Congress, all leaders including KC Venugopal and Revanth Reddy paid a courtesy call on AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence. The CM introduced Venkatesh and Jeevan Reddy to the AICC President. Kharge welcomed the BRS leaders into the Congress.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, old Mahbubnagar MLAs Yennam Srinivas Reddy (Mahbubnagar), Janampally Anirudh Reddy (Jadcharla), G. Madhusudan Reddy (Devarakadra) Veerlapalli Shankar (Shadnagar) and Special Representative of the TS Government in New Delhi, Dr Mallu Ravi, former Minister G. Chinna Reddy, CWC special invitee Challa Vamsichand Reddy and others attended the function.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took part in the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Naya Yatra in Ranchi on Monday and reached New Delhi the same evening.
The CM called on Sonia Gandhi on Monday night and explained to her the implementation of the guarantees by the TS Congress Government, the BC Caste Census and other issues. After welcoming the BRS leaders into the Congress, the CM returned to Hyderabad on Tuesday afternoon.
