BRS leaders want to join Congress, but CM cautious

Must read

Many BRS leaders want to join the Congress, but Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is thinking twice before admitting anyone into the party. Many Congress leaders have claimed that they have got calls from BRS politicians.
Recently, Prakash Goud while clarifying his stand on meeting the CM, said that it didn’t appear that the CM wants MLAs from other parties. Prakash also met Ponnam Prabhakar due to family ties.
Sources said the Congress might encourage defections in areas where it is weak during the Lok Sabha elections.
In places like the Chevella Parliament constituency, BRS leaders have reportedly contacted the Congress. Sources also said that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar is also interacting with some BRS leaders.
It is believed that Patnam Mahender Reddy might join the Congress. Recently at the Telangana Bhavan, Patnam had a miserable faceoff with Pilot Rohit Reddy and it is alleged that there is no reason for the former to continue in the BRS.
However, while everyone anticipated Patnam to move out immediately a wait and watch is going on.
The BRS itself is ready for defections. Recently BRS Working President KT Rama Rao publicly said that if someone wants to leave the BRS let them go. He said that there was no need to worry and that they would raise new leaders.
In many in municipal corporations no-confidence motions are being moved against BRS leaders.  While the Congress seems to be taking lower level leaders into confidence they are very picky on who joins them.
