Telangana State Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao has clarified that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to release the BRS manifesto soon and it will be “good news that will make all sections happy”.
Harish Rao unveiled a statue of Konda Laxman Bapuji on his birth anniversary in Toopran town of Medak district.
Sources in BRS said that the manifesto would outdo the ‘six guarantees’ of the Congress.
Responding to the Congress’massive campaign concerning the six-guarantee card, highly placed sources said that it was worth the wait. The Chief Minister would declare the manifesto in October at a massive meeting in Warangal.
The Chief Ministerhas already announced that eventually they would consider increasing the Aasara pension amount.
He may also announce subsidy on fertilisers. Farmers and women being large voting segments, the BRS is reportedly assessing various schemes.
On the sidelines, Harish Rao said that he was very happy to unveil the statue of Konda Laxman Bapuji, a great leader who had willingly sacrificed his life for Telangana State. Bapuji had fought many battles for the poor, he recalled.
The Telangana government had been officially organizing his birth anniversary and death celebrations. In recognition of Bapuji’s services, the Telangana Horticulture University had been named after him. Toopranhad developed tremendously after Telangana State was formed.
Harish Rao said that the Opposition wanted to taunt KCR, who had been working tirelessly for the welfare of poor people. “Do you want snarling Opposition? Or do you want KCR giving kits in the form of welfare?”, he asked. KCR, a supporter of women, was implementing many welfare schemes for women. “If truth is not propagated, lies will prevail.
If you want to counter the lies of the Opposition, you all should talk about the welfare schemes and development provided by the government.
Telangana was the only state which had not stopped welfare schemes and development even if in the face of an epidemic like Corona. Asara pension was not stopped even in Corona disaster”, he said. Harish Rao made it clear that Kalyana Lakshmi had not stopped.
