BRS MP seeks more funds for Bhadrachalam

Must read

BRS MP in Rajya Sabha Vaddiraju Ravichandra has demanded the Union government to allocate more funds for the comprehensive development of Bhadrachalam pilgrimage centre.
He said that the allocation of Rs 50 crore was not sufficient for comprehensive development of the temple town of Bhadrachalam.
Taking part in a face-to-face programme arranged by the Confederation of Indian Industry at Delhi with Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Thursday night, he said that Bhadrachalam is the most important pilgrimage centre after Ayodhya as far as Lord Sri Rama is concerned. He sought higher allocations to the pilgrimage centre.
Vaddiraju felt happy at Kishan Reddy of Telangana becoming the Minister for Steel and Mines. The SCCL, which is described as the boon of Telangana, is jointly owned by the State and Central governments. “It  is the responsibility of one and all to prevent its privatisation,” he remarked.
He appealed to Kishan Reddy to take steps to set up a steel factory at Bayyaram and suggested accessing the iron ore needed for the steel plant from neighbouring Chhattisgarh.
