Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao skipped the Governor’s ‘At Home’ programme held at the Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday for a record third time on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day. Not only KCR but all BRS public representatives kept away from the ‘At Home’ programme including Ministers and MLAs.

Interestingly, this time opposition leaders also skipped the ‘At Home’ programme at the Raj Bhavan. TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy and MLAs from various political parties used to attend the ‘At Home’ programme.

Interestingly, BJP leaders too skipped ‘At Home’ this time. The Raj Bhavan wore a deserted look as most political leaders kept away.

However, TTDP President Kasani Gyaneshwar, and senior TDP leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy attended ‘At Home.’

High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, DGP Anjani Kumar and many IAS and IPS officials also attended the function.KCR stayed away from ‘At Home’ even though the Raj Bhavan had invited him for the third time.

Speaking to the media, the Governor, Dr Tamilisai Sounderarajan, said that the Raj Bhavan had invited KCR. However, the Raj Bhavan cannot make the CM attend ‘At Home.’ The Governor said that the attitude of the Telangana government had pained her a lot.

The Governor said that this is not the appropriate time to speak about pending Bills and that she will take a decision soon on the Bills.

She also said that she would stick to the statement made by Chief Ministers at Puducherry on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that Dr Tamilisai Sounderarajan, who is also the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, said on Tuesday at Puducherry that it is painful that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin has been skipping the Governor’s ‘At Home’ programme and that the Telangana Chief Minister is also behaving like Stalin.

She said that there should be cordial relations between the Governor and the CM. The behaviour of Chief Ministers towards Governors cannot be justified, she said.
