‘Shanis’ and ‘Shakunis’ have left us

Health Minister Harish Rao described Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy as a ‘Shani’ and said that the Congress is taking people whom the BRS doesn’t want.
“You have no choice and that person has no option. Nothing is going to happen. In fact ‘Shani’ is gone. The person who was an obstacle and had backstabbed our party and made the BRS lose, those ‘Shanis’ and ‘Shakunis’ have left us. The scene will reverse. Earlier, we won one and lost nine, and now we will win nine and lose one.”
Harish was attending a memento distribution programme aimed at empowering the tribal community by providing podu land pattas in Khammam district. He highlighted the government’s unwavering dedication to tribal welfare and drew a clear distinction between the BRS administration and the lacklustre performance of the Congress.
Drawing attention to the diametrically opposing performance of the BRS government and the Congress, Harish pointed out the lack of programmes launched during Congress rule. He highlighted the absence of even a single medical college in Khammam district during Congress’ six-decade-long rule.
He condemned the adverse consequences of Congress rule, like power cuts, transformer explosions and the struggle for basic things like water. He emphasized that under the BRS government, these issues have been actively addressed.
Harish also spoke about the coming elections, emphasizing the unwavering commitment of the BRS to the people, irrespective of electoral cycles. He contrasted this with the tendency of the Congress to engage with the public only during elections.
He also criticized the Centre for replicating the schemes implemented in Telangana and rebranding them as their own. He proudly highlighted that Telangana’s schemes are setting an example for the entire country.
Regarding the visit of Rahul Gandhi to Khammam, Harish posed a series of thought-provoking questions challenging the Congress.
He asked whether any state ruled by the Congress provides an Asara pension of Rs 2000 to Rs 4000, implements schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima, successfully executes initiatives like Kalyana Lakshmi or undertakes projects like the Kaleshwaram Project.
He asked the Congress to reveal its achievements if any which can match those of Telangana.
Expressing optimism about the BRS’ performance in the next Assembly elections he predicted a victory for the BRS. He urged the public to consider the government’s track record, accomplishments and unwavering commitment to public welfare while voting.
Ministers Harish Rao and Puvwada Ajay Kumar distributed patta passbooks to 6,589 podu farmers, covering 13,139.04 acres across 77 gram panchayats and nine mandals in Khammam, Satthupalli, Vaira and Yellandu constituencies.
Addressing the gathering Harish said, “Today is an auspicious day for tribals,” emphasising the significance of the occasion. The BRS government’s distribution of patta passbooks covers an extensive four lakh acres of tribal land.
Harish hailed the government’s commitment to tribal welfare and pointed out that if appropriate actions had been taken in the last 60 years, such initiatives might not have been necessary today.
Harish emphasized that the government’s commitment goes beyond the distribution of passbooks. He highlighted the implementation of the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima schemes, which provide financial assistance and insurance coverage to tribal farmers.
Assuring the beneficiaries, Harish said that the financial aid through the Rythu Bandhu scheme would be deposited in their bank accounts within a week of them receiving the passbooks. Additionally, he underscored the government’s unwavering support for farmers, including the provision of 24-hour free electricity, crop investment assistance and farmer insurance.
