The BRS will try to bring back Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Pappu’ image. The mistakes committed by Rahul during his speech at Khammam are helping the BRS to strengthen the image created by the BJP.
Sources in the BRS said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra which seemed to have ended the ‘Pappu’ narrative seems to be in force once again. Over the past two days, BRS leaders have used the term again and again to describe Rahul Gandhi.
BJP sources said the Kaleshwaram corruption charges are baseless as the project cost itself was only Rs 80,000 crore. Secondly, the BRS opposed farm laws, but Rahul claimed BRS supported Modi.
BRS sources said, “How silly of him to make such an allegation. Our Chief Minister is the only one who gave compensation to the families of farmers killed protesting against the farm laws. Entire Telangana and country knows we oppose it.”
Thirdly, how will people believe a Rs 4,000 pension when there is no-Congress ruled state where pension is above Rs 1,000.
“When we go to other states, we show the Telangana model under which we implemented everything. Congress is recklessly making promises which they have never implemented anywhere,” BRS sources said.How can Rahul talk about family politics when his great grandfather, grandmother, father, mother and sister are in politics. Highly placed BRS sources said, “Instead of picking the common enemy BJP, he picked BRS to fight in Telangana. We are fighting against the BJP. The Congress assumed that Karnataka will repeat in Telangana.
Rahul didn’t think about the impact of Telangana on Lok Sabha elections.”
It may be mentioned here that this is not the first time the BRS built on a narrative started by the BJP or the Congress. Earlier, the BRS used the “Tadipaar” narrative against Amit which was created by the Congress.
The BJP managed to make the ‘Pappu’ so entrenched that people were convinced that he had nothing to offer. It may be mentioned here that BRS leaders are of the opinion that Revanth has been established as a blackmailer, was caught in the cash for vote scam and there is evidence of him being close to Chandrababu Naidu who is Andhra will ensure that people don’t fall for their tricks.
