Till recently, BJP leaders, particularly former Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar, had criticised the Congress and the BRS saying that the BRS is promoting the Congress although the party has no presence in Telangana.
Sanjay had alleged that BRS President Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been giving money to the Congress. He had also said that KCR is going to select 30 Congress candidates for the Assembly elections and that these candidates will join the BRS after elections after winning on a Congress ticket. He had said that the BRS and the Congress are two sides of the same coin.
However, the scene is now just the opposite. Congress leaders are now saying the same things against the BJP and BRS leaders.
On Thursday, Congress leader Malreddy Ranga Reddy said that the CM is trying to promote the BJP as its graph is crashing in the state. He said that the BJP leaders’ attempt to inspect double-bedroom houses was a drama.
The police had arrested Union Tourism Minister Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy and other BJP leaders on Thursday when they tried to inspect the double-bedroom houses in Batasingaram village.
“The BJP leaders are enacting a drama by going to Batasingaram to inspect double-bedroom houses and the police are enacting another drama by stopping the BJP leaders so that the BJP can get publicity in the media. It is part of the deal between the BRS and the BJP,” Ranga Reddy said.
He said that nobody had blocked the BJP leaders and the police did not stop Congress leaders as they inspected the same double bedrooms in Batasingaram.
“They are trying to publicise this to give the impression that a fight is going on between the BRS and the BJP. But the people won’t believe the BJP and the BRS even if they enact such dramas. The Congress wave has started in Telangana and a Congress government will soon take over,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mulugu MLA Seethakka said that there was no need to arrest G. Kishan Reddy. The BJP and the BRS are enacting dramas as the double-bedroom house issue has been there for a long time, she said.
Kishan is silent even though he is the Minister for North-East states. He enacted a drama to divert attention from the problems of the Northeast. He must visit the Northeast before visiting Telangana. What is Kishan doing here when the Parliament’s monsoon session has started, she asked.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav criticised Kishan for trying to inspect the double-bedroom houses in Batasingaram.
What is the need for BJP leaders to enact dramas regarding the houses constructed by the BRS government, he asked. “The Union Minister has been enacting dramas from Thursday morning. In fact, Kishan and I attended the inauguration of the double-bedroom houses. At that time Kishan said that the double-bedroom houses were good. Has the BJP constructed double-bedroom houses anywhere? He can visit the double-bedroom houses as Union Minister. Why this drama? I am ready to show the double-bedroom houses at Kollur if Kishan wants to see them. The Centre is giving only Rs 1.5 lakh for each house,” he said.
