BRS turns tables on ex-DGP Mahender Reddy

When political fortunes change, those who used to hang on to the coattails of their political masters must also be prepared for the worst. Ex-DGP Mahender Reddy was no doubt among highly regarded persons in the erstwhile KCR govt during his term of service. Even just before his retirement, KCR had expressed his hope that Mahender could be roped in as an Advisor. During his multiple trips to Palair, KCR had made specific references to Mahender while envisioning the official’s potential to develop the place. However, after Mahender Reddy was appointed as TSPSC chairman, the BRS demanded a judicial probe against him over amassing assets. These out-of-the-blue allegations have taken bureaucratic circles by surprise. Pink party and other circles are wondering which one is right: KCR’s praise of Mahender’s satta or the latest allegations.
