BRS will fight for farmers’ rights: Jagadeesh Reddy

Must read

Former Minister G Jagadeesh Reddy has declared that he, along with the BRS rank and file, will continue the struggle to protect the rights of the farmers.
He was supervising the arrangements for the public meeting to be addressed by former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here on February 13.
He reiterated the resolve of the BRS leaders saying, “We will fight for the rights of the
farmers till we achieve victory.”
The BRS leaders have the record of waging a fight against many political heavyweights
like Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
“The invoking of the Police Act against us, preventive detentions and getting handcuffed are not new to us,” he said, calling the BRS leaders as “fighters”.
He vowed to expose the ommissions and commissions of Congress leaders who have entrusted the management of Krishna River projects to the Centre.
The farmers under the Nagarjunasagar Ayacut have been pushed into corner, he said, calling the Congress leaders as “mean.”
As if it is not enough, the Congress leaders are putting the blame on the BRS, he said,
suspecting that the Congress did it wantonly expecting something in return from the
Centre.
The Centre has deployed security forces on the Nagarjunasagar dam and the Central forces are not allowing anyone to go near the projects, he lamented.
Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy is not aware of the consequences, he said
accusing the minister.
The people of Telangana would chase the Congress leaders away if the state government tries to unleash the police raj, he cautioned the Cong leaders. Zilla Parishad chairman Sandeep Reddy, former MLAs Bhupal Reddy, Ravindra Kumar, BRS leaders Ravinder Singh and others were present.
