Minister for Finance T Harish Rao on Sunday expressed the opinion that no party can form the government at the Centre after the next elections without the support of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Addressing Anganwadi teachers and workers at an Atmeeya Sammelanam here, the Minister predicted that a coalition government would be formed at the Centre after the next election. No party can form a government without the support of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The Centre pushed the State into crisis by withholding funds to the tune of Rs 1.10 lakh crore.
Earlier, speaking at a meeting, shortly distributing sewing machines to 140 Dalit women, Harish Rao said that the State government accorded top priority to the welfare of the poor. He was speaking at the meeting at Cheriyal. The State government, he said, has set up 1,000 residential educational institutions for Dalit and tribal students. The government has now upgraded them to junior colleges. The measure was intended to help the girl students continue their education. The Dalit women in several villages underwent training in sewing offered by Savithri Bai Phule Welfare Organisation.
The State government, he said, carried out the recruitment of Asha workers in a transparent manner. The Telangana government has been paying the highest salary of Rs 9,900 to Asha workers, he pointed out.
