Capacity Building programme held for LS Secretariat Officers

The Capacity Building Programme for Private Secretaries and Stenographic Service Officers from the Lok Sabha Secretariat, organised by Dr MCR HRD Institute, Government of Telangana, concluded on Friday. The valedictory function was presided over by Dr Shashank Goel, Director General of the Institute and Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shashank Goel emphasised the crucial role that the officers of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, including Private Secretaries and Stenographic Service Officers, play in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha Secretariat. He acknowledged their vital contribution to Parliamentary Democracy, noting that they are the backbone of the system.
Dr Goel expressed confidence that the programme has equipped the officers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to handle the challenges of their service more effectively. He highlighted that their enhanced capabilities would allow them to provide better assistance to Members of Parliament, Chairpersons of Parliamentary Committees, and senior officers, ultimately fostering a more cohesive and productive working environment within the Secretariat.
He also urged the officers to reflect on the key lessons learned during the program and work closely with their superiors to implement necessary changes that can improve the functioning of the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Continuous learning, he stressed, is essential for their development, and leveraging daily experiences and interactions with colleagues would contribute significantly to their personal and professional growth.
Manish Bhagel, Executive Officer, PRIDE, Lok Sabha Secretariat, lauded the comprehensive nature of the program, noting that it covered both administrative tools and their practical application. V Sujitha Rao, Assistant Private Secretary, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of human resource management for achieving extraordinary results.

Dr Usha Rani, Course Director and Centre Head at CDS, welcomed the attendees and conducted the proceedings of the valedictory function.
