Industries Minister, Gudivada Amarnath, has underscored the rising prominence of the Bhimili region on the global map due to the impending capital shift to the port city of Visakhapatnam. Amarnath made this announcement during a foundation-laying ceremony for the AP Beverage Complex in Gorinta of Anandapuram mandal in Visakhapatnam district on Thursday.
In his address, the Minister highlighted the employment opportunities that would soon emerge with the establishment of this new facility in the region, echoing the vision set forth by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to comprehensively transform and develop the area.
YV Subba Reddy, the YSRCP regional coordinator, disclosed the government’s plans to allocate approximately Rs 100 crore for fostering development within the Bheemili constituency. This allocation is part of a broader strategy related to the relocation of the administrative capital, scheduled to coincide with the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami.
Subba Reddy elaborated on the forthcoming development initiatives earmarked for the Bhimili constituency, emphasizing the Chief Minister’s unwavering commitment to achieving holistic progress in the region. He also mentioned that Rs 28 crore had already been disbursed as compensation to farmers who had contributed their lands to the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC). Subba Reddy passionately appealed to the citizens to endorse Jagan Mohan Reddy for another term as Chief Minister, highlighting his dedication to both development and welfare endeavors.
Deputy Chief Minister Narayana Swamy credited the industrial growth witnessed in and around the Visakhapatnam region to Industry Minister Gudivada Amarnath.
He stated that the State government had been actively implementing various welfare programs aimed at elevating the lives of underprivileged individuals, increasing their income levels, and providing access to English-medium education for their children. Narayana Swamy urged the public to consider the assistance they have received from State government welfare initiatives when making their voting decisions. He firmly asserted that no Chief Minister other than CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy could deliver on promises and stand by their words.
Former minister Avanti Srinivas expressed optimism about the positive transformations that the Anakapalli region is poised to undergo, with a significant increase in employment prospects on the horizon. The Bhimili region is indeed taking centre stage as it prepares for the monumental shift of the state capital to Visakhapatnam.
