The SIT-led investigation in the poaching of 4TRS MLAs case has taken a new turn with another case being registered in the Banjara Hills PS against key accused Ramachandra Bharati.
The Banjara Hills police have registered a case under various sections following a complaint filed by the Rajendranagar ACP and SIT member that Ramachandra Bharati was in possession of two passports. When the SIT officials examined the laptop of Ramachandra Bharati, they found that there were two passports in it.
It was found that Ramachandra Bharati had passports with two different numbers.Earlier, a case was registered against Ramachandra Bharati as per the complaint given by MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy that he had 3 each of Aadhaar, PAN and driving licence. Meanwhile, the SIT summoned two more people. Nanda Kumar, one of the accused in the MLA poaching case, his wife Chitra and his friend Prathap Goud, an advocate, were served notices. Meanwhile advocate Srinivas approached the High Court alleging that SIT officials are harassing him in the name of investigation. Srinivas’ lawyer Ponnam Ashok Goud informed the Court that the SIT officials told him to come whenever he was called for the investigation.
It was brought to the attention of the Court that they are asking for things unrelated to the investigation. He told the bench that Srinivas was under pressure due to being questioned from morning till night. Advocate-General BS Prasad told the Court that, as part of the investigation, the SIT officials had already questioned Srinivas for two days. The High Court considered the arguments of Srinivas’ lawyer. The Court postponed the hearing to November 30, after hearing the arguments.
