Case booked against former BRS MLA Manchireddy

A case has been registered against Ibrahimpatnam former MLA and BRS leader Manchireddy Kishan Reddy. The Ibrahimpatnam police have registered a case against Manchireddy Kishan Reddy along with his son Prashant Reddy, former Collector of Rangareddy District Amoy Kumar and former Municipal Commissioner MD Yusuf on the complaint of Municipal Chairperson Sravathi.
During the 2019 elections, Rs 2.50 crore was taken for the post of municipal chairperson. Manchireddy has been harassing the chairperson in the name of caste ever since she was elected. Manchireddy spoke disrespectfully in many meetings. “They often threatened me to take leave to hand over the responsibilities to the vice-chairman. The then collector also said that lower castes should not fight with upper castes,” said Sravanti in the complaint. As a result, the police have registered a case under SC and ST atrocity sections against the four and are investigating.
