The Siddipet police on Wednesday registered a case against TPCC president A Revanth Reddy for his “derogatory remarks” against the Mahabubnagar District police, One-Town Sub-Inspector Krishna Reddy said.

Siddipet District Police Officers’ Association president Ravinder Reddy lodged a complaint with the One-Town police against Revanth Reddy.

It may be recalled that Revanth Reddy, at a meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Aug 14, made some remarks against the Mahabubnagar police. The Mahabubnagar Police Officers’ Association launched a tirade against Revenath Reddy for making “derogatory remarks” against the police. Revanth Reddy allegedly threatened the Mahabubnagar district police to disrobe and thrash them after Congress came to power.

Ravinder Reddy urged the One-Town police to take action against Revanth Reddy for hurting the sentiments of the police, who 24×7 safeguard the law and order in the State.
