The CBI has responded to the letter written by TRS MLC Kavitha regarding her questioning in the Delhi liquor scam. Responding to Kavitha, the head of Delhi CBI, Raghavendra Vatsa, said, “The CBI team will visit your residence at 11 am on December 11 to examine you and record your statement in connection with the investigation into the above case.”
The CBI asked Kavitha to confirm her availability on the said date and time at her residential address in Hyderabad.
Kavitha confirmed the date and time and replied to the CBI. In her reply, Kavitha said, “I will be available at my residence on December 11 at 11 am for your investigation.”
Sources said that Kavitha had thought that the CBI team will come on Tuesday as there was no confirmation from them till Tuesday evening on an alternative date.
However, the CBI replied late to Kavitha’s letter proposing the dates of December 11, 12, 14 and 15 for her examination.Kavitha’s name was mentioned in an ED remand report on one of the accused, Amit Arora, in the Delhi liquor scam case.
In response to the first notice issued on December 2, Kavitha had said she went through the contents of the FIR copy as well as the complaint on the website in connection with the case and her name did not figure anywhere in any manner whatsoever.
