Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had advised him to develop Telangana on par with Andhra Pradesh.
“Chandrababu told me that as a Union Minister, I must work for the people of both Telugu states. Develop Telangana as you develop Andhra Pradesh. The NDA Government is sincerely working for the development of Telangana. We are using every opportunity available to develop Telangana,” Rammohan said.
He said the Centre will set up manufacturing units for the aviation and aerospace industry in Hyderabad.
“The Centre is focused on Telangana’s development. The only thing is that the state should ensure land acquisition. The Centre is waiting for land. Usually, the construction of an airport takes 36 months. However, the Centre is focused on the Mamnoor Airport and will complete it in two-and-a-half years,” he said.
Rammohan said the BRS admin made Telangana, a surplus budget state, debt-riddled. “How did the state with a surplus budget before bifurcation become debt-riddled,” he said and added that TG became debt-riddled due to its rulers. The BRS destroyed Telangana, he said.
He said the Centre will complete the Warangal Airport fast if the TG government acquires land. The state should complete land acquisition as soon as possible, Rammohan said.
