Celebrating women!

Must read

After leaving an indelible mark in Delhi and Gurgaon, the Women Coach and Counsellor Awards (WCCA) is all set to return to Hyderabad with its second edition in the city on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Novotel, Hitec City. The initiative, started by Gold Fish PR & Communications, has evolved into much more than an awards platform—it has grown into a powerful movement that celebrates women who transform lives through coaching, counselling, mentoring, and leadership, yet often remain outside the spotlight themselves.

At its core, WCCA is built on a compelling and compassionate idea: to amplify the voices of women who help others rise. These are women who guide, heal, mentor, and empower, often in silence, without seeking credit or recognition. With over 200 changemakers already honoured across previous editions, WCCA remains committed to celebrating impact over influence, authenticity over visibility, and merit over marketing.

“When we first launched WCCA, it wasn’t meant to be just another awards event,” shares the Gold Fish PR team. “It was our heartfelt response to a question we kept asking: Who’s celebrating the women who change lives but are never celebrated themselves?”

What makes WCCA truly stand out in a cluttered space of recognition events is its deeply ethical approach. The awards are non-paid, nomination-based, and driven purely by the impact these women have created in their respective fields. From psychology and education to wellness, coaching, social work, and leadership, the awardees come from diverse walks of life but are united by their unwavering commitment to uplifting others.

The Hyderabad edition promises to be an inspiring gathering of stories, voices, and shared experiences. It will feature meaningful conversations around the theme of women as game changers and explore the transformative role of coaches and counsellors in today’s world. The event will also honour women from across industries for their outstanding contributions and provide a platform for connection among over 100 carefully curated guests, including dignitaries, high-net-worth individuals, thought leaders, and professionals.

The ceremony will be graced by eminent personalities who have long championed the cause of social development and women empowerment. Among the chief guests will be VC Sajjanar, Additional Director General and VC-MD of TGSRTC, Telangana, and Hari Chandana Dasari, Managing Director of Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. Their presence underlines the growing institutional support for platforms that centre women’s work and leadership. The event also receives the wholehearted backing of special guests like Dr. Krishna Yedula, Vice President of Virtusa and Co-Chair of CSR & Sustainability at Assocham, and Mamatha Madireddy, Managing Director and Head of HSBC India Global Service Centres, both of whom bring with them a deep commitment to supporting initiatives that empower women at all levels.

The most moving aspect of WCCA, however, lies not in its grandeur but in its emotional resonance. Over the past editions, women have shared stories they had never voiced before—of personal battles, of professional perseverance, and of invisible labour finally being seen and valued. New collaborations have bloomed from casual conversations, and many walked away not just with a trophy, but with a renewed sense of purpose and sisterhood.
