Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar described the Union Budget as a national interest budget and reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. He said that the Centre allocated highest funds for basic sectors.
The comments made by BRS and Congress leaders saying that they have shown a stubborn hand to Telangana are meaningless. Proof of their ignorance. Is the government in Telangana continuing without Central funding? Is development possible in the State without the cooperation of the Centre? One word in Delhi… another word in gully should be avoided. The Centre is committed to the development of Telangana.
Centre is going to allocate funds for the development of 150 backward districts in the country including Telangana. There will be clarity on this issue in department-wise budget, he said.
If it was the UPA government of the day that only included in the State Re-division Act that it would look into the feasibility of setting up Bayyaram steel factory…is it not true that KCR was the one who indulged in it? Is it not true that the expert committee formed on this has concluded that the Bayyaram steel factory is not possible? KCR, who boasted that the State government will set up a steel factory in Bayyaram whether the Centre cooperates or not, should answer what he has achieved in the past 10 years.
Speaking to the media after introduction of the budget by the Centre on Tuesday, Sanjay Kumar said that the Centre gave importance to agriculture and education. He said that the Budget proposed to build houses for 3 crore people.
“This is a budget that reflects development and welfare in equal parts like two sides of the plough. Telangana has been given priority in the Central budget. Allegations saying that the Centre not providing funds to Telangana is a proof of the stupidity of Congress and BRS.”
He said that the Centre allocated funds to the backward districts of the country, including Telangana. The Union Minister asked the Congress and BRS to tell don’t they know that 210 km of Hyderabad-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor is part of Telangana? In Telangana, the Central budget has given priority to the development of railways, roads and other sectors. The facts will be presented to the public after the full allocation of the budget by various departments.
