Chaithra Achar, a Kannada actor who has built a name for herself, is preparing to make waves in Tamil cinema with two significant projects. She is currently filming director Raju Murugan’s forthcoming project and is about to begin shooting Siddharth’s 40th movie today.
The film is directed by Sri Ganesh and produced by Shanthi Talkies, which is known for the popular Maaveeran starring Sivakarthikeyan. Siddharth 40 also stars veteran actors Sarath Kumar and Devayani in key roles.
Chaithra Achar, who stars alongside Siddharth, acknowledged her excitement: “This is the first project I signed in Tamil and it’s incredibly special. I’m eager to be a part of a young team and look forward to working with Siddharth. The director is not only competent, but also a wonderful writer and I am excited to work with such a dynamic team. The excitement for this project has been palpable for the last three months and now that production has begun, I couldn’t be happier.”
Chaithra Achar also has Uttarakaanda and an upcoming suspense thriller with debutant Hari in Kannada.
Following the news of Sarath Kumar and Devayani joining Siddharth 40, the producers also announced the addition of Meetha Raghunath to the cast. Meetha last appeared in the 2023 romantic comedy Good Night, opposite Manikandan K.
This will be Shanthi Talkies’ second production attempt, following last year’s Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maaveeran, which completed one year after its release on Sunday.
