State Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has said that large-scale corruption was carried out in the name of Amaravati. He said that more irregularities would be unearthed during the Special Investigation Team (SIT)’s investigation.
Speaking to the media persons on Wednesday, Sajjala said that Chandrababu would certainly be arrested as there was evidence that the TDP chief was involved in the scam. He said that with the apex court orders, the investigation would pick up pace.
He said that a transparent and impartial SIT investigation would be carried out in cases related to Chandrababu’s corruption. “No matter which government comes to power, it will review the irregularities of the previous government. The decisions taken by political parties according to their policies affected people in various ways. There is a need to review the decisions taken by governments when they cause serious damage to the people and the State.”
He said that after the YSRCP government came to power, a sub-committee was set up as per law on the scams that happened during the previous TDP government, which was discussed in the Legislative Assembly. SIT was formed after the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly called for the same.
Sajjala stated that the CID was investigating the ring road and assigned lands in Amaravati swiftly. After the YSRCP government was formed under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, efforts were made to expose the conspiracies of the previous TDP government to damage the State’s wealth. “Why Chandrababu and his bunch of thieves were scared will be revealed once further investigation is taken up with the Supreme verdict,” he said.
He further said that Amaravathi land scam was the biggest land scam ever in the country which would be a case study. If the TDP leaders were innocent, why did they challenge the investigation in the High Court and got the stay order? APSSDC scam has been unearthed and when Chandrababu will be arrested, we will come to know shortly, he added.
Sajjala said that Balineni Srinivas Reddy issue was partly internal and if he had taken a decision personally, it was an internal matter. Balineni wanted to focus on his own constituency. A section of the media is trying to create some kind of disturbance in YSRCP. They are trying to expose a storm in a tea-cup while there is no tea, he added.
Commenting on Rajinikant–Chandrabau phone call episode, Sajjala said Rajinikant, Ramoji Rao and Radhakrishna were doing their best to bring Chandrababu back to power.
