Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said that the State government will call for Expression of interest for Telangana Master Plan 2050 soon. He was speaking at the 31st All India Builders Convention on Saturday at the Hitex exhibition in Madhapur here.
He said that Musi is the biggest asset for Hyderabad. The government is considering launching various projects on the Musi riverfront. The projects include the metro connecting corridor, sports, hotels and other entertainment projects.
“A few years ago, the city of Hyderabad was known as the Lake City with its chain of ponds. The government is taking forward the Musi riverfront project”, he said.
He said, “I might not have experience in governance but one good thing I can do is not repeat the mistakes done by the previous rulers”
Builders have a role in leading the country on a path of development. There is no doubt that the State will develop only if you are economically strong.
All of the builders should cooperate to rebuild the Telangana. Builders should support the development of Telangana and Hyderabad, particularly the Musi riverfront development. The government is always ready to strengthen builders’ hands.
Minister for Information and Public Relations Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy pointed to the defects in the Kaleshwaram project. It was a sheer waste of lakhs and crores of rupees of public money.
“The richest state has been pushed into Rs 7 lakh crore debt and it was imposed on our heads by the previous government. Around Rs 1,20, 000 crore worth of bills, and employees’ salary bills are pending only in the irrigation sector. If the government makes a Rs 30,000 crores budget, it will clear the previous irrigation debt only”, said the Minister.
