Chiranjeevi’s new film with Anil Ravipudi announced – but Vishwambhara faces uncertain future!

Director Anil Ravipudi has officially confirmed his upcoming film with Chiranjeevi, revealing that the Megastar’s character is named Shankara Vara Prasad, his real-life name. The film is slated for a Sankranti 2026 release, with shooting set to begin soon.
However, this announcement raises questions about Chiranjeevi’s much-hyped film Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassistha. The project, which had an impressive teaser launch, is now reportedly facing major post-production hurdles due to subpar VFX.
Sources suggest that Chiranjeevi himself is unhappy with the visual quality, leading to rework on the graphics and additional reshoots. With Anil Ravipudi’s film now taking priority, there is speculation that Vishwambhara may be pushed further, possibly releasing after the new project.
