This 2004 comedy-drama, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, was a massive hit for its blend of humour and emotion. Directed by Jayanth C. Paranji, the film is a remake of the Bollywood hit Munnabhai MBBS, with Sonali Bendre playing the female lead. Chiranjeevi’s portrayal of Shankar Dada and Srikant’s role as ATM added to the film’s charm. In the film, Chiranjeevi’s humorous use of English words mixed with Telugu left audiences in splits in theatres. The re-release of Shankar Dada MBBS is scheduled to coincide with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday on August 22nd.
