The Anil Ravipudi and Chiranjeevi collaboration was officially announced a few weeks ago, and now the team is in the process of finalising the cast.
Initially, Tamannaah’s name was rumored for the female lead, but now Aditi Rao Hydari’s name is doing the rounds as the heroine opposite Chiranjeevi. According to a source, it is Chiranjeevi himself who is selecting the film’s cast.
Several actors reportedly approached Anil Ravipudi for roles in the film, but Anil firmly told them, “I am not selecting, Chiranjeevi garu is selecting all the other cast of the film,” said a source quoting Anil Ravipudi. Harsha Vardhan, who received acclaim for his role in the recent film Court, has been roped in for a key role. Along with him, Abhinav Gomatam will be playing another comic role, says the source. For some important roles, the team is planning to rope in Hindi actors. Most likely, a Bollywood actor may be seen playing a negative role in the film. Anil Ravipudi had earlier introduced his technical team through a special video and is now planning to introduce the cast members through another video, added the source.
