Schoolchildren had a miraculous escape when the bus in which they were returning home from school fell on its side at Kesamudram on Monday. The accident happened when the schoolchildren were returning home after school hours. The bus belonged to the Sri Chaitanya Techno School branch at Kesamudram.
It is alleged that the driver had lost control of the steering as he was driving the bus while talking on his mobile phone. Soon after the bus fell on its side, the driver got from the vehicle and fled the scene. The local people helped the students come out of the ill-fated bus. With a major accident being averted, the parents heaved a sigh of relief.
It is alleged that the management of the Sri Chaitanya Techno School failed to monitor properly the movement of the vehicle and ensure that the driver did not speak on his mobile phone while driving.
The police arrived at the scene and registered a case. The Techno School was launched this year only. There were 30 to 40 students on the bus when it met with an accident.
