CM back from Davos visit, meets Union FinMin

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday morning. Naidu, who returned directly to Delhi after attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, held the meeting at the Ministry of Finance office in North Block.
The Chief Minister arrived in Delhi late on Thursday night, around 12:30 AM, after concluding his visit to Davos. The meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was of particular importance as Naidu planned to raise four to five key issues concerning the state.
The meeting lasted around 45 minutes, during which Naidu discussed financial cooperation for the state. With the Union Budget scheduled for presentation on February 1, Chandrababu put forth several requests on behalf of the state. Reports suggest that key topics included the Rs 11,440 crore package announced by the central government for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Naidu is also expected to express his gratitude for the support provided by the Ministry and discuss the pending funds for the Polavaram project, including the Diaphragm Wall and R&R package.
Later in the day, after returning to Amaravati from his successful Davos visit, the Chief Minister shifted focus to executing the proposals and discussions held with various organisations during the World Economic Forum summit.
Soon after arriving at his residence on Friday, the Chief Minister met with Chief Secretary Vijayanand and officials of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to review the outcome of his Davos visit. During the meeting, he discussed in detail the proposals received during the summit and instructed the officers to take necessary steps to advance these proposals over the next six months.
Chandrababu informed the officers that representatives from different countries, CEOs of various organisations, and ministers from these nations would soon be visiting Andhra Pradesh. He directed the officers to be prepared for these visits. Pleased with the discussions held with CEOs and heads of various companies during the summit, the Chief Minister issued clear directions on how to proceed with implementing the proposals.
Chandrababu instructed Vijayanand to maintain regular communication with the CEOs and heads of the organisations, continuously monitoring the progress of these talks.
