Continuing his tirade against Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan has announced that he will henceforth refer to Jagan Reddy’s name in singular number (without usage of respectful word of address)

Pawan Kalyan resumed his Varahi Viajaya Yatra here on Sunday. Addressing a massive public gathering, he emphasised the importance of respecting the Chief Minister’s position, stating that he himself respects the Chief Minister. “I have shown respect to the Chief Minister of the State thus far. However, moving forward, I will address Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy in singular number, as I believe he deserves this title,” Pawan Kalyan expressed, highlighting that the people of the State should not be subservient to YS Jagan Reddy.

Pawan Kalyan clarified that he has never indulged in discussing Jagan Mohan Reddy’s personal life, but he criticised the YSRCP leaders for verbally attacking his wife and female relatives. When questioned about a potential alliance with the TDP, he mentioned that he would take the time to make a decision after conducting a thorough evaluation. “I did not enter politics for mere amusement. I joined with the purpose of building a brighter future.

Irrespective of election outcomes, I am committed to working diligently. The principles of equal justice propagated by Ambedkar have inspired me,” he stated. Referring to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, which highlighted irregularities in the allocation of funds from the Centre to the YSRCP government, Pawan Kalyan remarked on the government’s lack of accountability.

“The CAG report has brought to light the irresponsible behaviour of the AP government. According to the report, the government has failed to provide a satisfactory explanation to the CAG regarding the utilization of the funds received from the Centre,” Pawan Kalyan observed.

He demanded that the government be transparent with the public about its expenditure. The State government has received Rs 1.18 lakh crore, but has not provided detailed information to the CAG. Furthermore, Rs 22,000 crore was borrowed through liquor bonds, but the government has not disclosed how this money was utilized. Pawan Kalyan urged the government to address the questions raised in the CAG report and demanded a press conference to inform the public.

Pawan Kalyan also criticised the ruling party MLAs, accusing them of amassing substantial wealth. He expressed his disappointment that the 115-year-old Krishna Jute Mill remained closed, and called for government intervention to reopen it.
