CM grants Rs 2 lakh to dead Swiggy man’s family

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy granted Rs 2 lakh to the bereaved family of the Swiggy delivery man who died accidentally while on duty. As promised earlier, the Chief Minister provided financial help to the family in just a few days.
The Chief Minister presented a cheque of Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the victim’s family at the Secretariat on Saturday.
The CM held a meeting with gig workers at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds on December 23 and spoke about the Swiggy man who had died in an accident four months ago while delivering food to a customer.
The Chief Minister said at the meeting that he had expected the BRS government to provide relief to the victim’s family but there was no response from it.
After coming to know about the struggles of the victim’s family, the CM ordered officials to give Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the family and officials collected details of the family in just a week. The victim’s family met the Chief Minister and received the Rs 2 lakh at the Secretariat and expressed their gratitude to the CM.
